A credit note is initiated by a seller to adjust the invoice value to the extent of the deducted amount on the invoice. In the vendor workflow, the vendor issues a credit note to the anchor client.
· Credit note can be created only in the Seller mode.
· After the credit note is sent by the seller, the buyer can view it (in the buyer mode).
1. Navigate to SCF.
2. Click Invoice Center >> Credit Note. The Credit Note page displays the list of existing credit notes.
3. Click Create Credit Note. The Credit Note Entry page is displayed.
4. Select the required Package from the displayed list.
5. Click Next.
6. Specify the following details:
• Unique ID: Specify a unique reference number to identify the credit note.
• Buyer: Select the buyer name. If you are logged in as a vendor user, the value defaults to the anchor client name and is uneditable.
• Amount (PHP): Specify the amount.
• Invoice Number: Select the invoice number against which the credit note is being generated.
• Invoice O/S Amnt (PHP): The outstanding invoice amount is displayed. If the Invoice is selected, the value in the Amount field should be <= the Invoice O/s Amount.
• Remarks: Specify remarks.
7. Click Save to save the changes.
8. Click Next to submit the credit note for approval.
