Company’s details

In the early 1980’s foreign and state-owned banks dominated the banking industry in West Africa. Commercial banks in the region which were owned and managed by the private sector were uncommon and thus Ecobank Transnational Incorporated was created with the objective of filling this vacuum. ’ETI’ is a public limited liability company which was established as a bank holding company in 1985 under a private sector initiative spearheaded by the Federation of West African Chambers of Commerce and Industry with the support of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

Exclusion of Liability for Technical Equipment

Ecobank shall not be in default of any obligation if performance is hindered by events beyond its control including without limitation, internet failure, computer equipment failure or telecommunications failure. Ecobank shall also not be liable for any damage that may result to the user's technical equipment, particularly computers, software, network equipment or any other equipment used to access or use the service and/or the information.

Security
